New Beginnings can be scary

When I first started writing for a blog I was fortunate to walk into an established site, with a loyal following, and go along for the ride. I helped to grow, I helped enrich, but the groundwork was already laid.

This is the first post on my new blog. It’s a bare bones new beginning, and in reality it’s all very new to me. I used to just get on and write, now it’s all up to me. Please bare with me while I get the hang of how it works.

I’m a lover of words. I love to read and I love to write, and here I hope to bring those two things together in a home of all things bookish.

I’m a mother of 4 who has recently gone back to work after spending 5 years as a SAHM. I have quite the backlist of reviews and bookish posts over at Beauty and Lace where I cut my reviewing teeth, I also grew a love of reviewing what I read and articulating my thoughts. That love of reviewing was difficult to walk away from so I have decided to start my own little home of books but my first priority is to find the balance and get some structure in my life, and overhaul my house.
